Ashlyn is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and owner of Healing Energy Counseling, LLC; practicing at Kindred Collective. Ashlyn serves as the director and clinical coordinator at Kindred Collective. Ashlyn earned her Master’s of Education in Counseling from Stephens College.

Additionally, Ashlyn holds a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology and Multicultural Studies certificate from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Prior to her work in counseling, Ashlyn worked in community mental health agencies, nonprofit organizations, educational settings and many others where she was able to gain direct experience with all age groups.
Ashlyn offers counseling services to children, teens, and parents. Ashlyn has experience working with anxiety, depression, autism, ADHD, sensory processing disorders, life transitions, grief, parenting, divorce, stress, and self-esteem.
Ashlyn practices play therapy and is working toward becoming a Registered Play Therapist. Play allows children to express feelings, communicate, and heal in developmentally appropriate ways. Alongside play therapy sessions, Ashlyn works with parents to extend support to the child beyond the therapy room.
Her approach is person-centered and collaborative to help children, teens, and parents navigate life and to live more supported, connected lives together. Ashlyn believes in the importance of the therapeutic relationship which can be healing in itself.
Ashlyn is a Certified AutPlay® Therapy Provider. AutPlay is a neurodiversity affirming framework for implementing play therapy to address the mental health needs of neurodivergent children, and their families. She is also an active member of Association for Play Therapy.
Ashlyn does not accept insurance but can provide a Superbill and offers sliding scale as needed.
